Arsenal face West Ham United on Sunday away from home in the Premier League. It’s a pivotal game, just like every game they face in the final run-in to the title. Here’s how I expect Mikel Arteta to lineup to maximise his chances in this match.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs West Ham

In goal will be Aaron Ramsdale, who is going to play every minute in the Premier League final countdown. His heroics against Liverpool late on might just have won Arsenal the title.

He will be covered by a centre-back pairing of Gabriel and Rob Holding. The latter had a blunder against Liverpool, but I don’t see William Saliba returning in time for this match either. The two full-backs will be the strongest two available to the Gunners – Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left, Ben White on the right.

Again, it’ll be an unchanged midfield for Mikel Arteta. Thomas Partey will hold the line, Granit Xhaka will roam and Martin Odegaard will bridge the gap between midfield and attack. It’s one of the strongest midfields in the league, capable of winning any battle.

Then, in attack, I predict there to be one change. I think Leandro Trossard has to start. Who he replaces is obviously a difficult decision because both Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have been in fine form lately.

However, I do think it’ll be Martinelli that’s rested in this match. He’s the best option to come off the bench, anyway. Therefore, Gabriel Jesus will retain his place as striker, whereas Bukayo Saka will hope to have a more lively game than he did against Liverpool.

Predicted Arsenal lineup: Ramsdale, White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Trossard
