Juventus are looking incredibly bleak at the moment. Champions League qualification seems like a distant dream for the club given their points deduction. There will be a tonne of players shown the exit door for the club to recuperate some of their losses – something Arsenal want to take full advantage of.

The Gunners are preparing to spend big in the summer, having hopefully won the Premier League title by then. We know about the obvious targets in Declan Rice, but recent news has emerged they want to sign Victor Osimhen.

Their shortlist doesn’t end there in Italy, though. According to CalcioMercato, Arsenal are willing to test Juventus’ resolve. In any other transfer window, they would never want to sell Gleison Bremer, who’s impressed since signing last year. However, Arsenal have a trick up their sleeve, as they want to offer £27m plus Takehiro Tomiyasu to sign the Brazilian centre-back.

Ageing at 25 years old, Bremer has been Juve’s diamond in the rough this season. He’s been the first name on their team sheet this summer, and former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is clearly a big fan.

Speaking with Tuttosport, the ex-Arsenal man described his team mate as being physically very impressive, he’s calm on the ball but has a commanding presence off it. This is exactly why Mikel Arteta wants to sign him.

Arsenal’s defensive structure has been solid this season. The biggest improvement Arteta has made is the consistency in defence. William Saliba and Gabriel are the partnership of choice, and they complement each other well.

Having recently signed Jakub Kiwior, bringing in Gleison Bremer would enable the Gunners to boast a plethora of top-quality talent for years to come. Breimer is an out-and-out centre back so to let go of Takehiro Tomiyasu seems like an odd choice but perhaps plans to bring in another right-back are ongoing.

Do you think Arsenal will sign Gleison Bremer from Juventus?
