After their win against Leeds United, things might be looking up for Chelsea. Of course, they still have to face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Todd Boehly still doesn’t know to run a football club, oh and they might be without a manager soon too – we’ll look past those.

Jokes aside, it’s inevitable that Chelsea will have a busy summer transfer window. Over the last two, they’ve spent over £600m and Boehly doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. According to Fichajes, the Blues would like to sign Joao Felix permanently, as well as Declan Rice from West Ham United.

Joao Felix has been one of the rare Chelsea signings who looks to have worked. When he’s played this season he’s played well, but his loan spell is only short-lived. Todd Boehly is a fan, so will be dialling Atleti to push for a permanent move.

With Declan Rice, it’ll be a little more difficult. Rice wants to join Arsenal and if they win the Premier League this season, it’d become a much more desired destination than Stamford Bridge. Still, Chelsea have shown they have no standards and will sign a player regardless of whether he wants to sign or not.

The 5 players which Chelsea plan to sell, according to Fichajes, are as follows:

Kalidou Koulibaly – It’s expected Chelsea don’t see the return of investment they hoped for and having other options in this position, they will look to recuperate some of their losses.

Hakim Ziyech – No surprise here. He was supposed to sign for Paris Saint-Germain but time management prevented him from doing so.

Mason Mount – He’s not been getting as much game time as he’d like and Chelsea are cautious about his situation, given his contract runs out next summer.

Conor Gallagher – Sold for financial fair play reasons. He’s not part of any Stamford Bridge plan and with Premier League interest, selling him could bring in some sufficient funds.

Christian Pulisic – Again, another FFP-inspired sale. Pulisic doesn’t get near enough game time so the American will move on for his next venture.
