Manchester City are back to winning ways, beating Bournemouth comfortably by a scorline of 4-1. Despite their impressive results, Pep Guardiola’s men are still in second place. As the title race heats up, this post will predict the points the Citizens will pick up in their next 5 games.

Manchester City vs Newcastle (Sat 4 March) – Newcastle haven’t been as in form lately. However, they’re always up for big games. While City are fighting for the title, Newcastle are fighting to secure the top 4 spot which they’ve worked tirelessly for. I can’t see even Erling Haaland breaking down the best defence in the league. The 1 point will be shared here.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City (Sat 11 March) – City will bounce back fairly comfortably here. Palace are very dangerous on their day but they haven’t had many “days” recently. Man City will pick up an invaluable 3 points away from home here.

Manchester City vs West Ham (Sun 19 March) – West Ham have just one loss in their last five games so they are showing improvement, but City will turn them over. With the right team selection, Pep will pick up an easy 3 points at home.

Manchester City vs Liverpool (Sat 1 April) – Say what you want about current form, Liverpool always find a way to show up against Man City. In the reverse fixture, the Reds picked up all three points but I don’t expect the same result in this one. City will find it hard though as Jurgen Klopp will be up for it, particularly with the Reds essentially out of the Champions League. Just the 1 point shared here.

Southampton vs Manchester City (Sun 9 April) – They’re rock bottom for a reason. Man City aren’t Chelsea, so they will pick up all 3 points in this one.

Potential points: 15

Predicted points: 11
