Liverpool have been issued a major blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Real Madrid in an hour…

In the most Liverpool fashion ever, they have suffered a major blow in the hour leading up to their Champions League tie with Real Madrid. According to the Liverpool Echo, Toni Kroos has miraculously become available to Carlo Ancelotti, as he has travelled with the squad and will likely play in the match.

Still, this won’t deter Jurgen Klopp. He would’ve prepared to play a Real Madrid with or without Toni Kroos. Besides, Liverpool are in great form at the moment and it would take an enormous spectacle to distract them from their one and only pursuit; Champions League victory.

Toni Kroos is great, but he is not quite the “enormous spectacle” he once was. Don’t get me wrong, class is permanent, and I’m sure he’ll have a significant impact on this match if he does feature. However, ageing at 33 years old now, he’s not the player he once was.

Jurgen Klopp is aware of his squad’s strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, if he’s being real with himself, the Liverpool midfield has been one of their main areas of concern this season. It’s the main reason why they’re planning a big-money summer swoop for Jude Bellingham in the hopes of fixing these flaws.

The game will kick off in little over an hour. The Reds are excited about this one, having gone through their usual Champions League ritual of spooking the opposing team by setting off fireworks late at night near the hotel they’re staying in.

The atmosphere will be booming and there’s a plethora of talent on display. In my opinion, it’s the greatest Champions League tie so far.
