Arsene Wenger has had his say on who will win the Premier League title – he thinks his beloved Arsenal will top Manchester City.

According to a report from beIN Sports, Arsene Wenger has predicted that the top of the league table will remain exactly as it is right now – Arsenal on top, and Manchester City behind. The reason why the Frenchman and footballing legend has predicted is because he sees flaws in City’s defence which he hasn’t seen in some time.

And, you know what, he’s right. In Manchester City’s last 5 Premier League matches, they have only kept one clean sheet, conceding 6 goals in that time. While this is by no means a disastrous stat, it is a telling one, given City’s usual high standards of defence.

They have looked vulnerable at the back in certain matches throughout the season, however, since they sold Cancelo to Bayern Munich it’s looked even more problematic for the Citizens.

Whether or not Wenger’s prediction rings true is a tale for the future, however, one thing’s for sure – he’s hardly wrong when it comes to football. Not many people can say they know the game as much as Arsene Wenger, as he’s studied it his whole life. While he will always hold a love for Arsenal, he is not the type of person to make outlandish and nonsensical claims just because he supports a club (something Neville or Carragher could learn from).

The most decisive game of the season is being held, with Arsenal hosting Manchester City. This game could be a big, big factor come the end of the season. If Arsenal win, they’ll go 6 points clear with a game in hand. If City win, they’ll go top of the table on goal difference, but will have played one more game than Arsenal.
