Chelsea legend Jose Mourinho wants to come back for third spell

Chelsea’s most successful manager Jose Mourinho is eager to come back for a third spell in charge of the club.
Given Chelsea’s uncertain managerial situation, Jose Mourinho has put a good word in for himself, in the most Mourinho way possible. According to GiveMeSport, the 60-year-old approached potential new buyers of the club when it first went up for sale, stating he is keen to come back for a third spell.
Since managing Chelsea for a second time, Jose Mourinho has also managed two other Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. He enjoyed success at United but (obviously) no success at Spurs.
He is the most influential manager in Chelsea’s history and, in all honesty, the club has been a downwards trajectory since he left. They no longer have the winners’ mentality he initially instilled at the club. Currently, the Blues sit 9th in the Premier League table.
That said, Chelsea fans should welcome Jose Mourinho back with open arms. Of course, I’m a neutral fan so I don’t know the perspective at Stamford Bridge. However, the appointment of club legend and serial winner Jose Mourinho would only bring positive things for the club.
It still remains to be seen whether Graham Potter will stay or go. Given Chelsea’s track-record of firing managers, though, it’s surprising he is still in charge. If results carry on the way they are, then the ice on which he stands will only grow thinner and thinner.

Jose Mourinho isn’t the only name available to Chelsea, though. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Blues are open to bringing in former Spain coach Luis Enrique. Enrique also has experience managing big European clubs.
To me, though, putting all biases aside, Mourinho is the best option for the London side. He knows the club inside and out and it would be the perfect end to the romance if he comes in to turn the club in the right direction.
