Today’s Liverpool injury news is not looking good for Jurgen Klopp – he is expected to be without six first-team players against Wolves this weekend.

Liverpool come up against Wolves away from home this weekend. It’s an important fixture for Jurgen Klopp, who looks to get his men bouncing again in the Premier League. The Reds sit 9th in the Premier League table and if recent Liverpool injury news is anything to go by, this won’t change after the weekend.

Beating Wolves could see Liverpool go as high as 6th in the table (if results go their way). However, today’s Liverpool transfer news from Birmingham Live states that Jurgen Klopp will be without six key players this weekend.

The first player who is unavailable for this match is Virgil van Dijk, who hasn’t played since the beginning of the year through a hamstring injury. Van Dijk is still a way off returning to full fitness, with FotMob predicting the centre-back to be fit again in mid February.

The second player who is out of action in this match is Ibrahima Konate, a fresh injury picked up against Brighton in the FA Cup. Konate is not expected back until the end of this month.

Thirdly, there is Luis Diaz who will not feature against Wolves. Diaz has been nursing a knee injury for some time, and not expected back until next month. Diogo Jota and Robert Firmino are also missing from attack, both of which expected back towards the end of this month.

Lastly, there is Arthur, who has unfortunately missed most of his loan spell at Liverpool through a thigh injury. He will not be available for this match against Wolves either, and is expected back over the next couple of weeks.
