Gary Neville jokes he would sign a petition to never work at Arsenal again

Gary Neville aims to get the last laugh over Arsenal fans.
Yesterday’s match between Arsenal and Manchester United felt the tensest a match has been all season. Not just for the overarching rivalry between the two clubs, but because of the title race and confidence in Manchester United fans, sparked by Gary Neville.
It was a contentious battle, with both sides refusing to lay down and get beat. However, in the end, it was Mikel Arteta’s men who grabbed all three points, thanks to a late Eddie Nketiah winner.
So, maybe Neville will want to eat his words now. Heading into the match, the Manchester United legend made some quite frankly stupid and uninformed comments about Arsenal – saying they would finish below Manchester United. Well, now Mikel Arteta’s men are top of the table, ELEVEN points clear of Manchester United, with a game in hand.
In fact, Manchester United are closer to Chelsea in 10th than they are Arsenal in 1st. To draw any comparisons between the two sides is disrespectful to Mikel Arteta.

But now, the pundit has added more fuel to the fire and at this point, you just love to hate him. In response to a petition to have him never work on Arsenal games again, Neville has romanticised the idea, saying he’d ‘sign it’ – according to the Evening Standard.
If there’s one thing we know about Gary, it’s that he loves a wind up. I’m certain that not even he believes half the stuff he says in jest about Arsenal. And when it comes down to it, there aren’t many in the field that are better than him at tactical analysis and the way he reads the game.
It’s just a shame he can’t apply that level of analysis to coaching, so instead has to bite at Arteta who is doing a far better job than he ever could.
I shouldn’t have taken the bait.
Where do you think Arsenal and Manchester United will finish respectively this season?
