Considered one of the top attacking talents in Europe, Zambian striker Patson Daka made the switch to 2015-16 Premier League champions Leicester City last season for a sum of £23 million.

Interestingly, Daka was considered the backup choice for Leicester City in case the deal for Crystal Palace’s Odsonne Edouard fell through. Back then, the latter was at Celtic.

Playing for the talent conveyor belt that is Red Bull Salzburg in 2020-21, Daka starred with 34 goals in all competitions. Twenty-seven of those goals came in 28 league games to secure his fourth straight Austrian Bundesliga title.

He was courted by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window due to his excellent form but the Zambian saw the potential for growth and more first-team football at the King Power Stadium.
