Manchester United, Forward, 7m

When Anthony Martial left for Sevilla on loan last season, there was a feeling that his Manchester United career might be coming to an end. Fast forward to pre-season 2022/2023, and Anthony Martial is making a strong claim to lead the line for United heading into the new season.

A combination of a few factors works in his favor here with Cristiano Ronaldo having returned to pre-season training late and still angling for a move away from Old Trafford; new manager Erik ten Hag has had only positive words to say about the talented Frenchman.

Martial Has Scored 3 Goals and Got 1 Assist in 4 Pre-season Games

He’s averaged an xGI of about 0.62 in his last 4 full league seasons at Manchester United and more often than not, has tended to overperform his expected data for goals given his finishing prowess.

A question mark remains about how the whole Cristiano Ronaldo saga pans out but if his future does not lie with the club, Martial could prove to be an absolute steal at just 7m.
