Another relegated star on Everton’s radar is Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis. The Hornets are in a similar predicament to Burnley in the sense that they need to sell a contingent of their most valuable assets.

Dennis signed for the Northwest London side ahead of the 2021/22 season and was the standout performer in an otherwise misfiring outfit.

The 24-year-old scored ten goals and provided six assists in 33 Premier League appearances during his maiden campaign, drawing praise league-wide as a result.

Able to play in any position across the attack-line, Dennis would be an apt replacement for Richarlison and provides more of a clinical edge than winger-by-trade Maxwel Cornet.

Latest developments suggest Everton are preoccupied with other targets leaving the chase for Dennis to fall down the pecking order.

Local outlet, Liverpool Echo, report that Nottingham Forest are also interested in the Nigerian international along with Spanish outfit and Champions League semi-finalists Villarreal.

Where in fact Dennis favours is unclear, but similarly to the Cornet deal, Everton may need to act fast in order to not miss out on the £25m-rated attacker.

Dennis performed well in an underperforming team suggesting he has new levels which he is yet to reach, therefore, generating intrigue for those concerned with the Toffees.
