Moment 4: A Premier League Record Mane Will Hope to Hold Forever

While playing for Southampton in 2015 and just before his switch to Anfield, Mane recorded the quickest hat-trick in Premier League history.

Against Astin Villa, the Senegalese scored three goals in the space of two minutes in what was a total annihilation of the Villains. They beat Villa 6-1 on the day. Some say it’s the moment Liverpool released the true talent that is Sadio Mane.

During that campaign, he managed 37 appearances, scoring 11 times and assisting another six goals for the Saints. Then Liverpool came knocking and made him the most expensive African player at the time for a reported £31m plus £2.5m to Southampton.
