Fabio Vieira Signs for Arsenal: What Will He Bring to the Gunners Ranks?

The End of the Road for Nicholas Pepe and Reiss Nelson?

While the air around the Emirates is filled with excitement with the arrival of Fabio Vieira, the same cannot be said for the existing crop of Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson.

Pepe is the club’s most expensive signing but has failed to live up to the big price tag. The winger has contributed only 27 goals in 112 appearances in his three seasons for the Gunners. Therefore, Pepe could be moved on with the arrival of Vieira as he would fall further down the pecking order at the Emirates.

The same can be said for Reiss Nelson too who has found game time tough to come by at North London. He recently took in a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven and could look for a move elsewhere to further his career.

Hence, while Arsenal FC works on bringing in more players to prop up their squad who narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification, they would also need to move out certain players to ensure that there is breathing space within the club and its books.

It promises to be a big and exciting summer for the Gooners, who look to leave no stone unturned in their quest for Champions League football in 2023-24.
