Five Left-Back options for Chelsea to consider in January
3) Robin Gosens (Atalanta)
Gosen is returning from injury at the moment and is a first-team player at 27 years of age already making him an option unlikely to be brought in on loan and of an age profile unlikely to be purchased outright.
However, the German wing-back specialist makes the list because of his very strong suitability to the Chilwell role in Tuchel’s team.
He comes up well in every single play style metric similarity with Chilwell this season. He has an impressive pedigree in the left wing-back role, producing 11 goals and 6 assists in 32 appearances in Serie A last season, a fantastic output for a wing back.
He has 13 caps for the German National Team and would be the strongest immediate fix for Chelsea.
