Assessing Anthony Martial’s potential destinations away from Manchester United

Return to France for Anthony Martial?
Perhaps the most obvious destination for Martial would be a return to the country where his career began when progressing through the academy ranks at OL Lyon before joining AS Monaco.
With Ligue 1 being the league he made a name for himself, a return would no doubt be an attractive option for a player that has for so long appeared without purpose in his performances.
His former side Lyon are among those said to be interested, alongside PSG who view Martial as a potential replacement for another former Monaco product Kylian Mbappé.
With the latter rumoured to be pushing for a move elsewhere (Real Madrid), a switch to PSG does make sense with the memory of a young Martial bursting onto the scene evidently still etched in the memory of French football.
