Manchester United pair Donny van de Beek and Dean Henderson could be shipped off and out of the club as soon as the January transfer window. This is to help secure some funds for incoming players needed during Ralf Rangnick’s short stint.

Ralf Rangnick and Manchester United are expected to do some work during the winter window, with more outgoings than incomings predicted at Old Trafford.

We’ve seen Man United use the sell to buy tactic in recent windows and under previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it appears it will continue that way under Rangnick.

Rangnick’s first order of business is rumoured to be shipping out outcasts: Donny van de Beek and Dean Henderson — the pair have seen the bench for the majority of the season and will seek loan moves in a bid to make their respective country’s World Cup squads for next year Qatar 2022.

The two have struggled for game time this season, with Donny coming off the worst of the pair. He has not been offered a run of games since his arrival at Old Trafford and he is looking to put this torrid time behind him, once and for all.

Henderson, on the other hand, since suffering from injury when he was fighting David de Gea for the first-choice spot, has not seen a Premier League start this season, making one measly appearance afore Wednesday night’s Champions League draw with Young Boys.

Expect Manchester United to use Donny van de Beek and Dean Henderson more often

Although the talk here is about the two Manchester players leaving the club as early as January, we could still see a lot of the pair between now and the winter window. This is thanks to Ralf Rangnick having to experiment with the squad and find the right formula, players and system.

With this in mind, surely the needs for both players will become greater over the next month. This is a win-win situation for United. They will be able to use their game time as a window-shopping experience and get some bites from potential buyers.

A move to his club will never be off the cards and with them pushing on in the Champions League, it could represent itself as the best move possible. Other than a reunion with Erik ten Hag, Juventus and Newcastle United have thrown their names in the hat as well.

Dean Henderson transfer links

The English stopper will not be short of offers but nothing concrete has suffered about a potential suitor. However, some reports believe Ajax are ready to snatch up Henderson with André Onana set to join Inter Milan side when his contract expires with the Dutch club.
