1) Andros Townsend (Everton, 5.7m)
Next 5: WAT, WOL, TOT, MCI, BRE

A player highlighted in our Best XI last week but failed to deliver, Townsend is a popular transfer in owing to both his recent performances and budget-friendly price. He’s produced 3 double-digit returns in his last 5 appearances, an exceptional output for a player at his price.

Despite embarking on a relatively tricky run of fixtures, Townsend has an expected goal involvement (xGI) of 0.42 per 90 and looks capable of continuing to tick along at a healthy rate.

2) Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 12.8m)
Next 5: MUN, BHA, WHU, ARS, SOU,

The only thing surprising about this is that several managers didn’t own him in the first place. Salah has 7 goals and 5 assists in 8 appearances, blanking only once (in GW2).

Already an incredibly consistent FPL asset, the Liverpool midfielder has taken it up a notch and after a double-digit score against both Chelsea and Manchester City; it’s safe to say that he’s going to be a reliable set and forget captain options nearly every week.

3) Heung-Min Son (Tottenham, 10.1m)
Next 5: WHU, MUN, EVE, LEE, BUR

News of a positive COVID test led many managers to go without the Spurs winger on their wildcard in GW8 but after returning 2 negative tests, he was cleared to play and duly proceeded to score a goal against Newcastle.

Six goal involvements and 2 double-digit returns in 8 played and a staggeringly high goal involvement percentage for a Spurs’ side slowly improving, expect his transfers to pick up especially with cash available after the injury to Lukaku midweek.
