Why Swap Ferran Torres for Kevin De Bruyne?

Alert all FPL managers! Man City’s Ferran Torres has reportedly suffered a “small fracture” and will undergo tests, as well as being monitored, having arrived back at Etihad Campus to attend to the injury picked up while on international duty.

It is highly doubtful we will see him this weekend and have to now dip back into the transfer market and search for a suitable stand-in — that’s if you had the Spaniard in your starting team.

Honestly, you shouldn’t be looking too far and try to stay within the Man City team for a Torres replacement — a bit pricey but a risk worth every penny — Kevin de Bruyne should be your go-to guy.

Strange that the Belgian maestro is a differential but that is the effect of “Pep Rollette” — managers tend to stay away because of the uncertainty — but this is not one of those gameweeks.

De Bruyne is owned by as few as 2.2% TSB; as explained in my Top-five captain picks for GW8 write-up, he is almost nailed on to make Pep’s starting XI, being one of the first names on the team return.

He is in great goalscoring form —  for both club and country – he has contributed to three goals in his last three games. If he isn’t going to score, he is going to assist; KDB has a goal involved of five in the 11 times he’s gone up against the Clarets in his career.

He is also yet to lose against Sean Dyche’s men. If you need a little more convincing that this is the best differential swap, De Bruyne is almost on all set pieces for City, so his chances of a goal and/or assist is quite high.
