Defenders
Joao Cancelo (Manchester City) – £6.2m

Over the last season, Cancelo has been increasingly important to Pep’s starting lineup. He is becoming one of the most secure City assets for minutes, behind the likes of Dias and Ederson. This is mainly due to Cancelo’s ability to play at both left-back and right-back.

With Mendy suspended and Zinchenko yet to start a Premier League game this season, Cancelo has now made the left-back spot his own. Even when Walker is rested, Cancelo will almost certainly be the man that Pep selects to play at right-back.

Manchester City are only really lacking in one department, and that is the fullback positions —with only 3 fullbacks competing for 2 positions. This further increases Cancelo’s appeal and expected minutes, in both the short and long term.

A near nailed-on starter for City, playing as an attacking fullback for just £6.2m is an absolute must-own on wildcard!
