The Canaries start to the campaign – More than a consolation prize and a chance to get their season back on track.

The fact that the Canaries have also conceded 10 goals in just 3 matches all while scoring just once would also be of concern if it wasn’t against three of the strongest sides and comfortable contenders for the top four places.

An opener against Liverpool (again!) followed by Manchester City and Leicester City would quite possibly have any promoted side down in the dumps and the fact that they scored a goal should be more than a consolation prize.

A hotly contested matchup against Leicester saw the latter side notch just 1.27 xG and face 1.44 xG, showing a somewhat strong defensive display from Norwich all while offering an equally impressive ability to convert a low block into respectable offensive chances.

Not to mention a disallowed goal for Norwich off a set-piece could’ve possibly earned them a point. Daniel Farke will now look over the next stretch of their schedule and mull over the chances his side has at stealing away points in bigger matches such as Arsenal who sit at 20th and could be a key game in spoiling Mikel Arteta’s future at the club.

Other games such as Watford, Newcastle and Burnley could hold for them, a chance at leapfrogging themselves from 19th into a comfortable position above the relegation zone.

This seems farfetched to the average fan
