Where does the confidence shown by Norwich come from?

Although, this seems farfetched to the average fan but the aforementioned confidence shared around the club mainly comes in the form of what they would like to highlight as a stark contrast to their 2004 promotion window and the more recent 18/19 window.

Firstly, a sale of club favourite and talisman Emiliano Buendía to Aston Villa was a sad yet inevitable reality many fans had to face. A fee of £33M with an extra £5M in add-ons earned the club a record sale to which they could add to their war chest of finances.

A window highlighted by the arrivals of Milot Rashica and Christos Tzolis. The latter came for a reported fee of £9M which could reach £11.5M while Rashica initially arrived for an undisclosed fee while transfermarkt puts this figure at near £10M also.

Two signings that look to aggregate the impact left by the departure of Buendía all while trying to offset any of the possible dry spells that could happen within the team through improving the squad depth.

The big demise of the previous attempt in the Premier League was the CB quality and depth, a position in which Norwich relied on youngster Andrew Omobamidele who just turned 19, as a long-term backup.

Ben Gibson, a loanee for the championship-winning season, was made permanent for a fee roughly set at £8M.
