Tottenham, although off to a flying start, are still considering doing some work in the final days of the transfer window being open. The new link is Santo’s previous prodigy from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Adama Traore.

It is believed that the Spurs are looking to add another attacker or two before the window closes and besides absurd links of footballing great, Cristiano Ronaldo, there have been strong links of Traore who appears the more realistic target.

As per reports, the North London club is willing to spend up to £40m for the explosive Spaniard; a cut-price Wolves will more than likely accept – financial difficulties all around Europe is making it hard for teams to recoup their proper valuation of their star players – barring the sale of Jack Grealish to Manchester City from Aston Villa.

The Wanderers, previously and as recent as last summer, slapped a huge asking price of £80 on Traore, but now could settle for less. This could also be due to the fact he has two years left on his current deal with the West Midlands club and a contract renewal is not on the cards for the winger.

Afore Spurs attempt for a permanent deal, the London club will seek a potential loan option that runs until the end of the season if they can get it right.

"The latest reports suggest that Spurs are willing to spend £40 million on Traore, and that new manager Nuno Espirito-Santo is a big fan of the winger.According to the Telegraph, Spurs are now ready to make a bid to try to take Traore on loan for the rest of the season, with a view to a permanent £40m move next summer. It is further stated that Tottenham will now go ahead and “accelerate talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers” for the possible transfer of Adama.

This is solely because of how much trouble Adama Traore caused Spurs when they met on Sunday for Matchday 2of the EPL. Spurs were triumphant and came away with a 1-0 win and all three points thanks to Dele Alli’s converted penalty.

Nuno and his new club maintain their 100% record and now look to the transfer market and the Europa Conference League play-off coming up next, where they trail the fixture by one goal after the first-leg defeat to Paços Ferreira.
