Paul Pogba’s career at Manchester United has been hit and miss since he joined in 2016 from Juventus for a record fee of 89.3 million.

In that time, during nearly every transfer window, there have been rumours that the French International would move on to greener pastures, the most mentioned destination being Real Madrid.

After Pogba’s usual, brilliant performances for his international side, the rumours began again – alongside the conversation of whether the midfielder would sign a new contract at Old Trafford or not.

This is because Pogba is entering the final 12 months of his contract in England and the tabloids believe that he will move on next July, but either way, it could result in seeing the best Pogba we have seen in England.

We have seen glimpses of the Pogba signed from Juventus in a United shirt but his form has never been consistent, and this could be different this year as he looks to impress.

The Red Devils began their campaign at home against rivals, Leeds United. Pogba started the game and bagged four assists in a display that really showed the best of his abilities.

More from Manchester United

The Frenchman showed an array of passes that he usually only puts on for his French National team.

Pogba looked as though he wanted to be in this United team, showing real intent and a strong connection to his teammates, particularly Bruno Fernandes.

With Pogba on form like this, he can take the red side of Manchester where he wants to and succeed where this club hasn’t for a long time.

This form could continue, unlike years before, he has a lot on the line. He will be a free agent in July, free to find a club wherever, but he has to attract one.
