Sadio Mane had a very underwhelming season by his standards last season, which failed to justify the output required by a premium midfielder despite finishing the season strongly.
A price drop was expected for him in FPL but with him staying at 12 million, he seems to be a bit too pricey for the liking of most FPL managers.
Some people who went for Mane ahead of Salah at the start of last season have bad memories of that, but despite all this, every season is different and you would expect a world-class player like Mane to bounce back.
He has arguably been the standout Liverpool player in preseason and has looked extremely sharp. He is coming in fresh and rejuvenated after a proper break in the summer.
Mane might be a bit overpriced for 12m but if you’re looking for an explosive differential to start the season and maybe even gamble on captaincy, this is as good as an opportunity that you will get!
