Ben Brereton – Blackburn Rovers

What a breakout year it has been for the man born in Stoke-On-Trent, Ben Brereton. Having been eligible to represent the Chile National Team through his mother, Brereton jumped ship, and what a decision it has proven to be.

With a goal and an assist to his name, Brereton led an aging Chilean side to a quarterfinal berth, before being ousted by Brazil. However, it’s his exploits with Blackburn Rovers that demonstrate Brereton is ready for a move to the Premier League.

Alongside Adam Armstrong and Harvey Elliot, Ben led the Rovers to the fifth highest-scoring offense in the Championship with 65 goals. With 7 goals and 4 assists to his name, Ben played a key role having averaged 1.1 key passes per game and 1.4 successful dribble PG.

With 5 assists to his name, Dwight McNeil was Burnley’s assists leader, however, Burnley could well use another winger that can provide an adequate attacking threat.

With Gudmundsson now their only other option on the wing after the club released Robbie Brady when his contract expired this year, Brereton would slide in nicely in a Burnley attack that has often looked stale at times.
