Ben White – Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton defender Ben White is a man in demand at the moment. Top Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Everton are said to be interested in the 23-year-old, and Manchester United’s inclusion could make this rally all the more interesting.

White was a constant fixture during his loan tenure with Leeds United in their promotional-winning season, appearing in as many as 46 league games.

Upon returning to his parent club, he impressed one and all to an extent that he was called in by England manager Gareth Southgate as a replacement of Trent Alexander Arnold in the Three Lions’ run in UEFA Euro 2020.

The 23-year-old ended his 2020/21 Premier League season averaging 1.4 tackles, 1.7 interceptions and 1.4 clearances per game. The figure is significantly more than that of Victor Lindelof who averaged a measly 0.8 tackles and 1.1 interceptions per game.
