Jadon Sancho update: Manchester United and Dortmund have an agreement in place
What’s a week of transfer news without having an update on Jadon Sancho and his proposed move to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund? A quiet one I supposed.
Soon we will be fortunate enough to have this completely behind us – and that is according to retired Norwegian footballer, Jan Aage Fjortoft.

The TV personality came out on Tuesday and publicised that through the weeks of negotiations, the Premier League club and Bundesliga club have finally come to a settlement on a fee for the player – or as he has put it “almost agreed’ would be best to describe the forward movement taken in the deal.
Added to the small revelation in the long, draining transfer of Jadon Sancho, they believe the fee is close to or exactly at the €90-million mark (£77.5m roughly).
His tweet reads on Sancho’s potential deal reads:
"Re: SanchoReports today that Dortmund and Man UTD have agreed. Been told that “almost agreed” are more the accurate definition of the negotiations.90 mill euro is likely to be the agreed fee.I expect the announcement will be just around the corner."
Is it finally going to happen – is Jadon Sancho finally going to be a Manchester United player?
With what’s been reported lately, there is little standing in opposition to a Sancho-United transfer – everything has actually been in favour of it.
No other team has stepped in trying to highjack the bid, or said to be, leaving the Old Trafford side the only ones linked with him for at least three weeks running.
A few players have previously been named as Sancho successors, one being Liverpool target and Dutch breakout player, Donyell Malen. With all these signs pointing in one direction, it is almost safe to say, it is finally happening – but only ALMOST.
Once done also, it is understood that Sancho will be one of a few signings the summer as they look to build on last season’s second-place finish in the Premier League.
