Who is Achraf Hakimi?

The Inter Milan wing-back’s humble beginnings can be traced back to Madrid, where he was born to Moroccan parents.

Hakimi played his youth career for the now-defunct club Ofigevi before joining Real Madrid’s infamous La Fabrica aged seven.

Hakimi progressed through the ranks quickly, his talent evident from a young age. He was fast-tracked into the first team in 2017, and ended the season as a European champion, remarkably.

A two-year loan to Borussia Dortmund followed where Hakimi established himself as one of the best attack-minded fullbacks in the league, and indeed Europe.

The Moroccan appeared 73 times for the German giants, scored 12 goals, and returned to his parent club in 2020, only to be sold to Inter Milan!
