Players who could breakout at Euro 2020 – Netherlands future looks bright
By A. Aden
Marcus Forss – 21, Finland – Group B
Another player of the inspirational Michael Benham’s Brentford who holds high prospects and who we hopefully get to see a lot of this tournament.
Despite huge interest in newly promoted clubs, Ivan Toney, higher-ups in the club will no doubt be happy to pocket whatever cash comes in should the talisman leave and will give the keys to the attack to Forss.
The 21-year-old Finnish forward who holds the number 9 shirt for his country will no doubt look forward to partner Norwich’s Teemu Pukki up top and rack up the goals.
Although he holds a relatively low xG (expected goals) from a progression of the ball, he excels at his shot creation that is a direct correlation to the many goalscoring positions that he finds himself in when you watch him play.
Somewhat of a theme with the players listed so far, he also holds the skill to playing high-flying football that is direct from his desire to run with the ball and dribble across and around players when the chance arrives.
Just like Kalajdžić, expect Forss to get the lion’s share of minutes with Finland as opposed to the others on this list with their respective nations.
