Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino – Liverpool

Brazil is the squad with the most Premier League players. The Reds have three players that will play for Brazil in the Copa America. Alisson who has been great for Liverpool since the 2018-2019 season, didn’t have the greatest time this year.

But, he’s still one of the best goalkeepers in the world (as he proved time and time again this season) and probably Tite’s first option in goal. He’s going to be up against Ederson, who is another excellent Premier League goalkeeper.

Fabinho is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. But there’s still competition in Brazil squad, in the name of Casemiro, who is arguably the best defensive midfielder in the world. We would have to see what Tite would do, but I think Fabinho would come off the bench despite having a great season season with the Reds.

Lastly, Roberto Firmino, Liverpool’s striker would most likely be Tite’s first option with Brazil. He wasn’t as great this season as he’s been in previous years but he has established himself as Brazil’s go-to striker for a few years now, and he would try to play his best football alongside Neymar Jr.

Ederson and Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City

As we mentioned before, Ederson will be competing for the goalkeeper’s position with Alisson. Even though he had a far better season than Alisson, he would probably be the second goalkeeper for Brazil in this tournament.  He was the keeper with the most clean sheets in this EPL season with 19 to end a fantastic season with the Citizens where they were crowned as Premier League Champions.

The other player from Manchester City that got called up for the Brazilian squad is Gabriel Jesus. The striker had a decent season where he scored nine goals and assisted four. He hasn’t filled the expectations that were made for him when he joined Manchester City.

Even though he hasn’t been terrible, he’s still not quite there, yet. Tite has preferred Firmino as his striker lately so Gabriel Jesus would probably come with the bench, being the most important player in Brazil’s squad to do some damage in the last minutes of the games.

Thiago Silva – Chelsea

Silva – who had a great season with the Blues – just had to be in this squad. He was Brazil’s captain till 2014 but lost the captaincy in 2015 to Neymar Jr. He gained it back for the 2018 World Cup and has kept it since.

He had an erratic start with Chelsea this season but he came back and finished it very strongly. He was a key player during Chelsea’s run in the Champions League – a competition that they ended up winning.

Douglas Luiz – Aston Villa

This would be the first major tournament for the 23-year-old who had a great season with Aston Villa. He was the reason why Villa was able to keep their balance and shape, and one of the reasons whenever they got a string of good results together a bunch of times during the season.

He’s been great in his two seasons at Villa Park which ended up rewarding him in a call-up for Brazil’s senior squad.

Fred – Manchester United

Fred had a very good season with the Red Devils this year. He was a consistent player for them all year which rewarded him with a call-up for the Copa America. He would probably come off the bench and I don’t think he would get many minutes.

Either way, he would be a solid backup option for Tite in the midfield.

Richarlison – Everton

I think Richarlison can be one of the surprises of this tournament. I think he would form an attacking trio with Neymar Jr. and Firmino. He had a decent season with Everton where he scored seven goals and assisted three. Look forward to his performance this year, since he could surprise many fans.
