EURO 2020 Fantasy Football MD1 Captain Picks – Is Ronaldo still a top pick?

Pick #3: Kylian Mbappe

Not the most ideal fixture for Mbappe but we all know how good France are. Germany have been underperforming of late so it won’t be surprising to see France get all 3 points here.

Benzema took the last penalty in the 3-0 friendly win vs Wales but his miss might mean that Mbappe takes the next one for Les Bleus.

Pick #2: Diogo Jota

Another high upside player who isn’t exactly nailed, Jota is a cheaper way into the Portugal attack compared to someone like Ronaldo or Bruno Fernandes.

I don’t think Bruno is worth his price tag here due to his underwhelming record with the National team and with him not being on penalties.

Pick #1: Cristiano Ronaldo

Coming in at a hefty price tag like Mbappe, Ronaldo is a great player to own for this week at least.

You can never write off this man and a great fixture on MD1 makes him a solid shout although, I don’t think Hungary are as bad defensively as people are expecting.

You would still expect this to be comfortable for Portugal though, and Ronaldo should be at the heart of it all.

Ideally, you shouldn’t need to depend on him as captain as you should have hopefully gotten a solid captaincy return in the first 4 days.
