Houssem Aouar was close to joining Arsenal in the summer transfer window. Will Arsenal be successful this time?

Mikel Arteta and the board have a transfer strategy and are working hard to complete the signing of players linked with Arsenal.

Barring players from clubs in the bottom half of the table and newly-promoted teams, none of the players would likely join Arsenal without Champions League football.

The club is heavily linked with Houssem Aouar (Lyon), Achraf Hakimi (Inter Milan) and Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig), who already have Champions League football lined-up for next season with their current club.

Without European qualification, none of the aforementioned players will look to join the North London outfit.

Despite all these factors, if any manager would come forward to manage the Gunners, the impatience of the board has cost them.

The club fired Unai Emery when he failed to keep the momentum going in the top-flight.

They also fired Raul Sanllehi who was the Head of Football in North London because of the failure of players.

Lack of motivation and passion in players has also impacted the former “Invincibles”.
