The summer transfer window is fast approaching, and Premier League clubs should be drawing up potential targets. One team that will be looking for a big summer transfer window is Everton.

With a chance to make their way into European competitions next season, the Toffees will be looking to make some big improvements.

We will be taking a look at some potential Everton transfer targets that would make sense in this upcoming transfer window.

Where should the Toffees look to improve this summer?

Everton have done a good job in getting near to the top of the table this season. But they will need to continue to make improvements if they are to make a run at a Champions League place.

Bringing in competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be one of the priorities of their transfer strategy for the summer.

More from Everton

Calvert-Lewin is a fantastic player who should continue to improve, but bringing in another striker would help a lot and take some of the scoring responsibilities off him.

He has scored 16 Premier League goals this season and the closest to him are Richarlison, James Rodríguez, and Gylfi Sigurðsson with all of them on six goals apiece.

Another area of need for Everton would be in the defense. They have been linked with both center-back and fullback in recent weeks, so it is pretty safe to say that will be major target areas.

It has also been rumored that Everton have added Yerry Mina to the transfer list, so they will surely be looking for a replacement for him.

With Mina in and out of the team because of his inconsistency, Carlo Ancelotti has had to chop and change and look for his best pairing, which is really hard to call because of the poor form defending.

For this season that has been Michael Keane and whoever else, mostly Mason Holgate and Mina with Ben Godfrey even getting a go as a center-back.

Together they have conceded 42 goals. That’s the second-most goals conceded by a team inside the top 10 of the EPL standings.
