After thrashing AS Roma in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semifinal, The news about Edinson Cavani comes as a boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. According to renowned transfer journalist, Moisés Llorens, the Uruguyan sharp-shooter has decided to extend his contract with Red Devils for another season. This comes as a relief for Old Trafford-based outfit as they can divert attention towards other departments in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Against AS Roma, Edinson Cavani inspired Manchester United to stage a comeback after going behind in the first half. Cavani secured an assist to his name in the first half, and then scored a brace in the second for Red Devils.
The player missed a hattrick by a whisker against AS Roma in Europe. He also became the oldest player to score a brace in the UEFA Europa League semifinals.
