Ever since he arrived at Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has hit the ceiling in terms of both performance and popularity.

Not only has he helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to resurrect his career at Old Trafford, but he has also helped the club climb the table and close the gap between them and their closest rivals, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Now, the club wants the talisman to sign a new contract. The player is willing to sign but has one condition; i.e, “The Paul Pogba condition”.

More from Manchester United

The Mirror reports that the 25-year-old is set to commit his future to the club after getting assurances over Paul Pogba’s future.

The 2018 World Cup-winning midfielder’s contract is due to expire in the summer of 2022 and the contract talks have stalled.

The club would like to sell Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window rather than letting go of the player for free.

Also, Fernandes wants to know about the plans for the upcoming summer transfer window as well.

What is the condition set by Bruno Fernandes?

Currently, Bruno Fernandes is on a £100,000 per-week wages contract but the club wants the Portuguese to sign a new deal that would see his wages double.

Since his arrival in January 2020, Bruno has scored 36 goals in 72 games. Added to this, in his 65 starts, the Portuguese international has amassed 22 assists.

The Red Devils are second in the Premier League standings and have an outside chance to win the league if Manchester City loses the plot in the last five games. Both teams are separated by 11 points but the Red Devils have a game in hand.
