Tottenham Hotspur’s star striker Harry Kane is once again on the radar of multiple Premier League and European giant.

Not only is he wanted by the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid but Manchester City also sees him as a potential like-for-like replacement for the departing Sergio Aguero.

Though Manchester City are in the race to sign Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, the club are keeping the English skipper as an alternative and a cost-efficient option.

However, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned Harry Kane against it and has urged him to stay with Tottenham despite the club struggling to win any trophies.

Talking to beIN Sports, Arsene Wenger said:

More from Tottenham Hotspur

"Tottenham are in a position where they can be ambitious and we should maybe not judge only today’s situation. He is the only one who can assess the situation. A player like that is always solicited by other clubs and always has to assess his situation.(Via: talksport)"

The absence of a trophy in his cabinet is hurting Harry Kane and the player is looking to find greener pastures in search of silverware.

Arsene Wenger went on and said he expects Kane to have some more patience as the team needs a real leader of his caliber.

Les Professeur also lauded the qualities of the player by describing his vision and execution as excellent.

Compared to Erling Braut Haaland, Harry Kane has a proven track record in England’s top flight.

In nine seasons with Spurs, the player has grown in stature. For the North London side, he has scored 160 goals and has 31 assists to his name. However, the player has failed to win any major accolades.

Tottenham must also be called into question because they have failed to win crucial games and are guilty of not supporting their world-class hitman when he gets them ahead.

After bottling the topmost position in the Premier League standings, Tottenham have only one chance to redeem themselves. They are up against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the finals of the Carabao Cup.

Reports suggest that the player will consider his future if Tottenham fails to win any trophies this season but will only decide once the Euros is out the way. The team is already out of FA Cup and Europa League and must count on other results if they are to reach a top-four spot.

Failure to make next season’s Champions League will certainly see Harry move on to another club. Harry Kane won’t come cheap for any potential buyers.

He is currently valued at €120million upwards. With the pandemic affecting the transfer market operations, very few clubs can lure him away from Tottenham for that asking price.

It will be interesting to see how Harry Kane responds to Arsene Wenger’s call for a hold on his transfer.
