The recent appointment will allow Ed Woodward to focus only on the financial aspects and the football will be run by appropriate stakeholders. The club has tried to emulate the Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Ajax models.
Woodward has tried to fulfill Sir Alex Ferguson’s dreams by these appointments. SAF always wanted the club to be run by those who have the “United DNA” in them. The 2021 summer transfer window will be the first real test for these recent employments.
There is still a lot of work to be done by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his new workforce. He has already sold Chris Smalling, Alexis Sanchez, and other huge earners who failed to perform on a regular.
The last batch of deadwood is still left to be shipped out of the club and Ole is yet to overcome the semi-final barrier.
Despite making it to four semi-finals in his time, Manchester United have failed to go beyond and win gold. It will be interesting to see how OGS will take his chances in the ongoing season.
