Spurs are finding life under Jose Mourinho extremely challenging but it was always expected that the North Londoners would struggle with the Portuguese’s football far too outdated.
There have been talks of a Mourinho replacement with a few fixtures left to prove he can still revive their current campaign. The kicker in the Jose matter, they are misfiring domestically but ruthless in the Europa League.
Tottenham have one win in their last six EPL outings and have won their round of 32 clash by scoring eight goals and conceding one over two games. What do they need to do to transfer their European form over to their league form?
Working on bringing in Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig
If rumours are to be true about Mourinho and a sacking is on the cards? Then there really are arrangements been made for Leipzig’s captain, Sabitzer.
The talks of a Jose exit was followed by reports of Julian Nagelsmann being the man to take over from him. If so, putting two and two together, Marcel Sabitzer will be the perfect first signing for Spurs.
It is believed the North London club will make the midfielder a priority for next summer and will start “laying the groundwork to sign Marcel Sabitzer this summer”.
The Bundesliga club is building up for a departure and will allow him to leave, as well as ready to part ways with Nagelsmann.
It could be the blueprints to new beginnings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if both men were to make the trip to London.
It will not happen without European football for Tottenham, especially if there is no Champions League ball
If they fail to achieve European football, they can forget about any big names choosing London – unless they are ready to offer astronomical salaries to unproven Premier League players.
Leipzig have also made it public that there are more than one team in for the Austrian and many big hitters in Europe are considering a move for him.
A player who can bang in goals from range on a regular and pull the strings from the middle of the park – who wouldn’t want a player of Sabitzer’s calibre in their team?
