Fantasy Premier League: GW26 Top Captain Picks

2. Bruno Fernandes (CHE, CRY): At this point, if you’re serious about FPL, you need to have Bruno in your team.
The midfielder has become a reliable captaincy option week in week out. Always capable of pulling up a double-digit haul out of nowhere.
The faith in Fernandes is so high at the moment that we are seeing people trust him with the armband even when he had just one fixture in the last couple of weeks, while some of the other players had doubles.
He did not disappoint and gave returns in both games, outscoring some of the popular DGW choices. Bruno’s fixtures are a mixed bag, Palace are a team to target at the moment with them still missing Zaha. Fernandes can easily haul a big return against the Eagles.
The fixture against Chelsea is less appealing given the Blues’ newfound defensive solidarity under Thomas Tuchel. Man United’s games against the big teams in the PL have been tight and cagey affairs this season, which is why it has not been easy for Bruno to rack up points in these games.
Although given the pedigree of the player, you can never rule him out of returning points and doing well in any game. All it takes is a moment of brilliance, which we have seen plenty from him this season to be able to trust him.
Given his haul potential vs a struggling Palace side, any kind of return vs Chelsea could set Fernandes up for a monster haul.
