Manchester United has a pre-agreement in place with Argentinian youngster

Manchester United is said to have beaten a number of top European clubs to the signing of teenage sensation, Thiago Almada.

Recent reports suggest Vélez Sarsfield attacker, Thiago Almada, will join Premier League club Man United after both clubs and the player have agreed to a deal worth €16million.

"The Red Devils are said to have reached a deal with both the player and his club Velez Sarsfield, with the deal to go through next season, according to Todo Fichajes."

The player is considered to be the next best thing hailing from Argentina. Besides the Old Trafford club wanting the player a number of big hitters across the European continent were ready to try and sign the youngster.

Manchester United have been monitoring Almada for a while

United have been keeping tabs on Thiago since he has been attracting a lot of attention from clubs all over.

Although he is so highly rated, experts in his home country believe he can break into the first-team at the Theatre of Dreams as early as next season.

The 19-year-old can play in any of the attacking positions, making him the perfect fit for any of the top clubs in the world.

Clubs look for outfielders who are athletic and versatile – he ticks all of the boxes. If he is regarded as one of the brightest talents for the future then there is really no point in waiting until another team influences him trying to change his mind.

He is already a regular at his current club Vélez Sarsfield at his tender age of 19. He’s spent the last three seasons in the Argentine Primera División. His second season in the Argentinian top-flight league he managed 22 league outings for his club.

During this period he score four goals – and In total he has made 46 appearances for Sarsfield, contributing to 12 goals, scoring 10 and assisting another two.

Manchester United’s old rivals Leeds United were also said to be in the race with Marcelo Bielsa an admirer of the forward and Thiago Almada a big follower of Bielsa and his brand of football.

But they could have been beaten to the punch following the latest reports that United have a deal in place already, forcing them to turn their attention elsewhere.

One thing is certainly happening in the summer and that is the player will make a move to Europe in the summer.
