Transfer News: Tottenham star Dele Alli is close to a deal with PSG
Paris-Saint Germain’s new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is already targeting players from his ex-club Tottenham in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Pochettino is already in direct contact with his former player, Dele Alli, who is at the top of his transfer wish list.
Alli has fallen down the ranks under Jose Mourinho this season. The 24-year-old is yet to start a Premier League game for Tottenham, asides from their loss to Everton in their opening game. He’s made four PL appearances in total for Jose, amounting to 77 minutes of football.
The lack of playing time has caused much frustration for the young star this season as he is now pushing to leave the club he signed for five years ago and reunite with his old manager.
Alli has not fallen out with anybody at the club. However, According to Fabrizio Romano, Dele Alli just wants to play;
A move to Paris Saint-Germain would do Alli a world of good. Under Pochettino, he has scored 56 goals for – a .28 goals per match efficiency in their four years together.

The initial deal would be to send the 24-year-old on loan until the end of the season. It would be a very similar situation to that of Moise Kean’s loan deal from Everton, but with an included option/obligation to buy at the end of the season.
However, Tottenham is not yet sold on loaning out their 24-year-old attacking midfielder. Last year December, the Spurs initially agreed to allow Alli to part ways on loan out of respect for him being at the club for five years.
Tottenham also believed sending Dele off could enable them to increase his current market value price of €38.00m.
That situation has now taken a turn due to the injury to midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy and Jose Mourinho believe that every player will be needed as Spurs are headed for a busy couple of months, with the second half of the league, the Fa Cup, Carabao Cup final and Europa League to play for.
Also coming out of the Spurs’ camp, Jose is still considering reinforcements for his backline. The club is said to be interested in bringing in Eder Militao on a loan deal but do not want to be forced into buying at the end of the season if it doesn’t work out.
If they do pursue Militao from Real Madrid, they could face stiff competition from Premier League rivals, Liverpool, who are also said to be in for the player.
