Arsenal struggles to get anything from any fixtures played at the Emirates. This has called for Arteta’s head on a plate!

Despite winning two titles in 10 months of his appointment, Mikel Arteta is facing difficult times at the Emirates. However, Arsenal fans should be patient with Arteta and here is why they should believe in him.

The Gunners are off to their worst start to a Premier League campaign after they find themselves in 15th place after 13 games. They have just one point from the last five games played at home following their 1-1 draw against Southampton there on Wednesday night.

They had to come back from behind despite both goalscorers being from Arsenal. The opener came through their ex-Gunner, Theo Walcott, who is on loan to Southampton from Everton. The equalizer came through the miss-firing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 52nd minute of the encounter.

A point shared between the two was a great result for the Saints who moved into third place after collecting a point. Sadly the North London club remains stagnated in 15th, struggling above the drop zone.

Too early to throw in the towel for Arteta?

With a string of terrible results and Arsenal still searching for a win over their last six games, the fans have lost trust in their manager.

They have demanded he get sacked, however, the club should keep faith and trust the manager as the Premier League is comprised of 38 games.

Since his arrival in North London, Mikel Arteta has given every player a chance before finalizing his EPL squad. Players who weren’t up to scratch were shipped out of the club over the last few months.

This way, Arteta’s slowly weeding out the deadwood of the club but the rot is so deep that it’s taking longer than expected to be removed. They are struggling in the league and are unable to score goals as they did the previous season.

Since signing a new lucrative deal, Aubameyang has gone under the radar and has lost his shooting boots.

They’ve now only scored one goal from open play in their last nine games. Worryingly, he has only scored three EPL goals this term, with only two coming from open play.
