Though reports were set to publish on Tuesday in Tuttosport, the super journalist Fabrizio Romano broke the news on Twitter.
The Twitter handle read:
"I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester UnitedPaul is unhappy with Man United as he is no longer able to express himself in the way that he would like and as he is expected to.Paul needs a new team, a change of air. He is under contract for the next 18 months and it will expire in the summer of 2022 (Via: Fabrizio Romano)"
The comments come after Pogba scored a screamer against West Ham United on Saturday in Man United’s victory at the London Stadium.
Manchester United were a goal down against the Hammers and the midfielder scored a thumper of a goal from outside of the box. The Red Devils picked themselves up after the equalizer and registered a 3-1 win against David Moyes’ side.
Manchester United fans are enraged following these comments and that the player has remained silent on his agent’s actions just ahead of the club’s crucial game against RB Leipzig in the Champions League showdown.
Early on Monday, the player expressed his desire to stay with Manchester United. Paul Pogba said that he wants to be successful at Old Trafford after recovering from COVID-19. He was earlier diagnosed with COVID and was ruled out for few games for club and country.
"I’m finding my rhythm as well. I feel so much better today, I felt I could go again, control the game, getting the ball. That’s what I like, myself. That’s what I think is good for the team. I’m a team player. As long as the team wins, that’s the most important, you know. I find myself good and we want to win. That’s why I came here and that’s why I want to be successful.(Via: MUTV)"
Ahead of the game against RB Leipzig, the comments by Mino Raiola would have definitely distorted the harmony in the dressing room. The passionate fans have demanded to sell the player immediately in the January transfer window.
