Gareth Bale to Tottenham: A deadly trio in England’s top flight
By Varun Aithal
Stats don’t lie but Gareth Bale has been in La Liga for the past seven seasons.
According to last season’s stats, Gareth Bale outfoxed Lucas Moura and Son in every aspect of attack. May it be the number of pass attempts per 90 minutes or pass accuracy per game, the Welshman topped all the charts.
In the 2019/20 campaign, Kane had 34.5 touches per game compared to that of Anthony Martial’s 41 and Raul Jimenez’s 46. These two strikers had more touches because of the supplies provided from their flanks and midfield.
Harry Kane was deprived of ball as his teammates found it difficult to split open any defense last season. Gareth Bale can be a one-stop solution for all issues in North London.
Apart from his speed and goalscoring abilities, Bale can play as a versatile wing-back on the right flank, allowing Mourinho to change his tactics whenever required. He can also relieve Serge Aurier of his duties for a while.
Few might argue that Mourinho has fallen out with the international stars or the players who come with a big hype. However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lloris have proved it wrong whenever they have played under Jose.
The Portuguese tactician, altogether, can look a different manager with Bale is at his disposal.
