Thus far, Donny van de Beek is the only summer signing for Manchester United.
Manchester United have established concrete dialogues to sign Alex Telles from FC Porto. The left back has less than 12 months left on his current contract and is looking for a new challenge this summer. Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have previously been linked with the Brazilian.
He is considered among the finest fullbacks in Europe. The 27-year-old scored 13 goals and contributed 12 assists in his 49 appearances across all competitions last season with Porto. Telles has stalled on his contract extension with the Portuguese club to seek a new project.
It is understood that Paris Saint-Germain reportedly offered 30 million euros to sign Telles. However, the talks broke down in the midst of the worldwide shutdown due to the pandemic. Chelsea, too, tested the waters but eventually signed Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.
Despite talks with multiple clubs, Alex Telles is yet to find a new project with his agents offering the services to clubs across Europe. In the latest series of events, Man United are said to be showing enthusiasm in signing the left back in the coming days.

Owing to constant injury issues to Luke Shaw, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown eagerness to sign a left back this summer. Until now, Sergio Reguilon has dominated United’s scouting reports, with due diligence being paid on the situation around the Spain international.
"Manchester United have ‘intensified contacts’ to sign the Brazilian left-back. Sevilla are also presented as keen, but it’s made clear United are very much out in front. This could be a good value signing for Manchester United, considering the 27 year old’s contract with Porto expires in June 2021. Given the financial status-quo, the Red Devils might be able to attain the defender at a much lower price.
Amid genuine developments around Sergio Reguilon, Manchester’s pursuit of Alex Telles was not anticipated. It is understood that Solskjaer has monitored the Brazilian defender a few months ago before turning his attention towards the Spanish counterpart.
Telles’ entourage are expected to travel to Manchester and try to strike a deal with the Old Trafford giants. Also, Man United chiefs are willing to spend £25million should the dialogues progress well.
