Robin Gosens – 26 – Atalanta

Perhaps a more realistic target for Leicester is 26-year-old Gosens, who has starred in a breakout year for an exciting Atalanta team in Serie A.

The soon-to-be German international, a converted midfielder, has been a revelation at wing back in Atalanta’s free-flowing attacking system.

Last term, he bagged 9 goals and 8 assists – including goal contributions in the Italians’ miracle run to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Whilst no slouch defensively (he just about matches Chilwell’s defensive output last season), Gosens is best going forward, and may not fit Leicester’s four-man defence too well.

Nevertheless, being valued around 30 million euros, Gosens would represent a cheaper, younger alternative to Tagliafico, one which would augment Leicester’s attack down the left flank.

He’s certainly one to keep an eye on.
