Man United and Paul Pogba will sit and discuss a new deal after their time in the Europa League has come to an end.

A new chapter for the Old Trafford club and a new attitude shown by the French football star. The man who wanted out only wants in now and is ready to commit his future long-term. This is thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s strong push for Champions League football and outstanding use of his January transfers.

Afore this, we were almost convinced Paul Pogba would leave Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to join forces with Real Madrid or the Allianz Stadium and return home to Juventus. But since watching from the sideline, while injured and before he could take the pitch, he’s had a drastic change of heart.

More from Manchester United

"Paul Pogba is expecting Manchester United to open contract talks once their Europa League campaign concludes. The midfielder has a year remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford, with the option of a further 12 months."

Missing most of the season through injury, many of the fans thought they would never see him take the pitch again in a United jersey, trying to engineering his move away from England. However, some hardball played by Ole when fighting Pogba’s agent has paid off dearly.

Sky Sports also believes the World Cup winner is happy at the club and just needed that little bit of Champions League inspiration and aspiration, and that’s what the club delivered. Solskajer also wants him to stay and form a formidable partnership with wonder signing, Bruno Fernandes.

"Pogba is happy at United and he’s expecting them to open contract talks once their Europa League campaign is over. His current deal runs out next summer but United always insert this year option so they don’t get caught out with free transfers. There appears to be a willingness from all parties to get around the table as far as Pogba is concerned. When the midfielder was fit and able to take part in the latter part of Untied’s push, we witnessed just how much damage Man United can do with both players on the pitch.

Hopefully, for all neutrals, it will long continue and we get to see if Paul and his United company can bring home European gold and even more in the near and far future.
