Manchester United: Jadon Sancho transfer to be completed ‘this week’
The saga is approaching the business end with the Red Devils “in advanced talks” with Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
Numerous stories linking Jadon Sancho with a move to Old Trafford could be about to cease with the dialogues between the involved parties reaching closer to an agreement. Going by recent developments, the English winger’s move to Manchester United looks a matter of when and not if.
Having initiated dialogues with Borussia Dortmund last week, Ed Woodward, United’s executive vice-chairman, has proposed multiple financial structures to his German counterparts, with talks progressing in a positive direction.
Previously, the Red Devils offered an upfront €60million with various performance-related add-ons and bonuses, equating the transfer fee with Dortmund’s valuation of €120m. Despite being close, Man United fell a bit short as Der BVB demanded a higher initial value.
Amid negotiations, there has been a wide acceptance of this transfer getting over the finishing line with Borussia Dortmund lining up a replacement for the imminent departure of Jadon Sancho, with Jonathan Ikone, Memphis Depay, and Milot Rashica being linked with a move to North Rhine-Westphalia.
