Man United: Contacts made for highly demanded full-back as a Luke Shaw backup
Red Devils are accelerating their transfer window business after sealing Champions League for next season.
With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doing his part by ending the 2019/20 campaign on an optimistic theme, now the onus is on the Norwegian’s bosses to back the rebuild project by an optimum investment in the transfer market this summer.
After making positive strides forward to reach a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jadon Sancho, Manchester United will see a significant chunk of their summer funds being spent on one player. To ensure other areas of the pitch are addressed, the club is planning a few budget players to optimise their budgets.
Left-back has emerged as an area which needs reinforcement, despite being lower in the recruitment order, having witnessed youngster Brandon Williams struggle in the absence of Luke Shaw during final few league fixtures.

Rayan Ait Nouri, 19, has been identified as a suitable addition to the United squad as the French full-back looks well poised to leave Angers SCO this summer. Besides Manchester United, there a number of potential suitors – Crystal Palace, Manchester City, and Wolverhampton Wanderers – seeking the teenager’s services.
"Manchester City and Manchester United have made their first moves to sign the left-back.Crystal Palace and Wolves are still hoping to ‘win the bet’ when it comes to the defender, while Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco, and Leicester City took the information in the past. As things stand, Les Noirs et Blancs have received concrete interest from both Manchester clubs. Pep Guardiola, who is eager to replace Benjamin Mendy, is set to compete with his counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for Nouri.
The French defender, currently, is in England and it is believed that he has paid a visit to the facilities of Man City and Man United. Both clubs have sent their formal offers via Jorge Mendes, Portuguese super-agent with Nouri being one of the clients.
No offer, yet, has been accepted by Angers SCO as the player decides on his next move with several proposals from Ligue 1 to be considered as well.
